Metro Pacific Mall shoppers are treated with feasts of food product samples, learned new recipes at the cooking demo and cheer to their favourite Shopper-Chef at the 1-hour Cook off Challenge last March 24 and 25. Metro Cookfest 2018 is a simultaneous activity by Metro Stores in cooperation with NutriAsia, Metro Cookfest is held at Marquee Mall and Metro Market Market for Metro Manila, Super Metro Colon and Metro Pacific Mall in Cebu.

The 2-day Cookfest indulge grocery shoppers on food product samples from NutriAsia products UFC Banana Catsup, Mang Tomas Sauce, Golden Fiesta Cooking Oil and others.

The Cook off Challenge is one of the awaited part of the Cookfest where random supermarket shoppers were asks to join and choose their own recipe to perform within 1 hour. Each participant will be provided with options on ingredients.
The most creative and delicious recipe will win a NutriAsua Lootbag and their prize. Their entry will be judged according to Taste (70%), Choice of ingredients (10%) and Creativity & Concept (10%). Below are the recipes that the participants prepared:
Participant #1 prepared a Fish Recipe.
Participant #2 come up with Shrimp Gambas
Participant #3 prepares a pork recipe.
The cooking demo is starred by no other than Chef Harold Bernardo Bueno, a professor in Hotel and Restaurant Management Department of the Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management in Far Eastern University-Manila.

More product sampling is distributed to mall goers and the winners of the Cookoff were also announced.
